Over 70% of our students live in coffee producing regions where parents and children as young as 12 earn money picking coffee beans. Families only receive one income source during harvest time to last the entire year. Sales of Adelante Coffee support an education fund within each community to cover school fees for students whose families are unable to contribute to paying school fees, many being single mothers.
