From One Girl to One School
The first time I went to Honduras, I was a senior in college. At the time, I would have never imagined a life committed to education but as the first in my family to attend a four year university, I knew the difference it could make in the opportunities that were given to you.
When I learned that making it to middle school was anything but common in rural Honduran communities, I gained a stubborn curiosity to find out why and what, if anything, I could do to change that. Today I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to pay it forward and help ensure that education is within the reach of any young person who desires it, regardless of where you were born.
With only an idea and bake sale money, my hope is that the story of Educate2Envision’s humble yet mighty beginnings will serve as an inspiration to never doubt your ability to leave a positive impact on the lives of others.
